The Meaning Behind this Painting
 
This summer was a reminder to slow down and treasure the ordinary gifts the Lord has given us. After finishing a commission collection of landscapes, I expected to move quickly into the next project, but instead, the Lord gave me a slower season—one filled with family, quiet days at home, and the reminder that not every season is meant to be spent producing.
 
Through Kit’s yearly checkups, simple days with my girls, and the beauty of the everyday moments often overlooked, I was reminded again that each day is a gift.
 
This painting was created during that slower season as a reflection on gratitude, light, and the goodness of the days we are given.
