New to Collecting Art? Here's My Advice
Be honest…
Have you ever wanted an original painting but had NO IDEA how to actually choose one?
I think original art can feel intimidating because we're suddenly asking ourselves:
Is this the right size?
Will it work in my house?
What if I get tired of it?
Am I even choosing “correctly”?
Here's my biggest piece of advice:
Don't start by asking
whether it's the “right” painting.
Start by asking:
Do I keep coming back to it?
Which matters most
when you're choosing artwork?
That you love the painting?
Or that it works in your home?
My answer?
Both can matter.
But I would always start
with the painting
you genuinely love.
And once you've found
the piece you love, THEN we can talk about
the practical things.
