Gratitude

This collection is titled ‘Gratitude,’ after the song by Brandon Lake.

I listened to this song on repeat while creating this collection, and these lyrics in particular just spoke to my soul.

“All my words fall short

I got nothing new

How could I express

All my gratitude?

So I throw up my hands

And praise You again and again

'Cause all that I have is a hallelujah”

And I know it's not much

But I've nothing else fit for a King”

There is nothing I have or could give that would ever be enough for all the Lord has done, and you know what? He doesn’t require me to do anything besides love Him with all my heart, soul, mind and strength and love my neighbor as myself. He freely gives to all his children.

I want to freely give all my gratitude to Him for all he has done. He has blessed my family and I in so many ways, but I still catch myself getting caught up in all the things that aren’t going exactly how I would like, that I forget to just thank Him and praise Him for every blessing—big and small.

This collection will always be a reminder to me to give Him praise and gratitude for everything He has done.To praise Him is to be in His presence, and there is nothing greater. I pray this collection will remind others of that same thing.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-17).
